HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - It was truly the thrill of a lifetime when the Holyoke St. Patrick's Parade Committee honored longtime member Barbara LaFlamme.
LaFlamme was named this year's winner of the prestigious Thomas F. Rohan award.
It goes to a parade committee member who has done significant work to make the parade a success.
She's been a committee member for more than a quarter of a century. “I'm thrilled. I'm so excited. It's awesome. To have the award it really is. It's a pleasure to be on the committee, “Said LaFlamme.
She will have a place of honor during the next Holyoke St. Patrick's Parade, which this year for the first time in many years falls of March 17th, the observance of St. Patrick's Day.
