Holyoke police cracking down on crime

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Holyoke police are cracking down on drug deals and prostitution.

11 people were arrested this past weekend as part of an operation targeting street level drug sales and prostitution.

Holyoke Police Lt. Matthew Moriarty told 22News, police focused their enforcement on ward one which covers most of downtown after receiving complaints from residents.

Lt. Moriarty says this proactive approach will continue through the coming months as the warmer weather approaches.
