SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Many people are calling this election, the first "social-media presidential election."

Four years ago Facebook was one-tenth its size.

And the Internet is now a much more integral part of people's lives.

Some people "old school” door-to-door campaigning and yard signs are still pretty important.

But one West Springfield woman thinks watching the debates is still the best way to know the candidates.

Vicky Muir says, “I think they sway people one way or another. You drive down the street. You see people with the signs. You don't really know what they are really representing. They are just signs saying vote for so and so.”
