Agawam Restaurant serves free meals on Thanksgiving

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) - No one needed to go without a full course meal this Thanksgiving, especially if you were in Agawam.

Every year, since he opened his "The American Classics" restaurant on Springfield Street six years ago, Carlos Silva has been serving free meals to anyone who wants one on Thanksgiving night.

Carlos believes in treating all his customers like family, and his friends and family serve the dinner. "I have 8 kids myself.  And my sister in-law brings her kids.  My wife brings some of her family, and everybody eats for free."

Owner Carlos SIlva carves out four hours on Thanksgiving Day from three to seven at night when people can make a reservation or just walk in, and have a full course meal.
