SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A non-profit agency in Springfield that provides clothing for individuals in need is helping men dress for success.
Hampden County Employable Garments held their first silent auction fundraiser at the Hilton Garden Inn, in Springfield.
The purpose of the event is to raise $5000 to continue the mission to provide professional attire to men so they can have a presentable appearance for employers, coworkers, and the community.
Gymmetta Brantley says, “We work with all populations of men regarding if they're unemployed, veteran, ex-con, various backgrounds. ”
All the suits and clothing are donated from individuals or stores.
On average HCEG helps five to six men per week, between the ages of 21-35.
