SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A viewer contacted 22News to tell us that driving conditions on Fountain Street in the Forest Park neighborhood have become comparable to that of the Indianapolis 500.

22News cameras captured drivers on Fountain Street ignoring the 30 mile per hour speed limit.

“It's really ridiculous,” Fountain Street resident Hector Rivera said.

Fountain Street has something in common with other Western Massachusetts streets that attract speeders, in that it serves as a shortcut between two major streets. The street runs between Belmont Avenue and Dickinson Street.
