SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A step back in time at the Springfield Armory National Historic Site Saturday night.

The 14 piece O-Tones Big Band held a free outdoor concert, flooding the green with the sounds of the big band era.

James Woolsey says, "We're honoring Benny Goodman who did a concert here in 1943 for war workers at Springfield Armory, and we're trying to recreate that magic out here. "

The Springfield Armory is home to the world's largest collection of historic American military firearms.
