SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Western Massachusetts wished Dr. Seuss a happy birthday.
Many families made the Dr. Seuss sculpture garden at the Springfield quadrangle their destination.
Springfield native Theodor Geisel would have been 109 years old Saturday.
His unique stories have touched the lives of many generations.
Kaleena Burke of Agawam told 22News, how much Dr. Seuss has meant to her family.
“Bedtime stories every night, kids like the books they go through them. Cause it's something that they can remember, they like the wording in the books and it brings back my own childhood too.”
The sculpture garden is a popular destination throughout the year, but many Dr. Seuss fans pay particular attention during early March to personally wish Dr. Seuss a happy birthday.
