Ear biting victim's wife says there's still a chunk of ear missing on her husband, Jose Feliciano

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Timothy Forbes, the man accused of attacking a local youth basketball coach is back in court Friday. The ear biting victim's wife Sheileen Feliciano testified during a hearing Friday morning there's still a huge chunk of ear missing on her husband, Jose Feliciano.

Forbes's mom said she once took a restraining order out on her son because of "family problems." She said she was once worried that he shot his sister.

The prosecution is trying to show that Forbes is a danger to the public.

A judge determined 34-year-old Timothy Forbes a threat to the public at " dangerousness hearing." Frobes will not be released on bail.

The court had an opportunity to look into the background of Forbes; everything from his reputation to his past criminal history.

According to the website of Massachusetts Criminal Defense Attorney John Calcagni, if he is found too dangerous, he could be held for up to 90 days without bail.

Forbes is facing four charges including assault and battery after he allegedly attacked a basketball coach during a game last Friday... biting off part of his ear.

The game was a youth basketball game at the Holy Name Social Parish on Alderman Street.

Forbes has already been arraigned on those charges and denies all of them.
