CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - A man is recovering in the hospital after a stabbing in Chicopee overnight.

Chicopee Police Captain Mark Gilbert told 22News that the incident happened outside the Dugout Café at the corner of Grattan and Meadow Streets around 2:30 Wednesday morning.

According to Capt. Gilbert, the victim took himself to Holyoke Medical Center, before he was transferred to Baystate Medical Center.

He is expected to survive.
