Alleged wrong-way driver arrested

PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) - The state police have arrested an alleged drunk driver, who they say, made a u-turn on the Masspike in Palmer and drove the wrong way for about four miles.

It happened just before 4AM Thursday.

Trooper Darren Specht told 22News Patrick Carroll, 35, of West Brookfield was swerving and weaving on the highway before he got off at Interchange 8 in Palmer.

State Police arrested him at a nearby gas station.
