WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) - Friendly's Ice Cream kicked off its annual Cones for Kids campaign at their headquarters in Wilbraham Monday morning.
This is the 32nd year for the fundraiser which has brought in over 27-million dollars for children with disabilities involved in the Easter Seals organization.
Friendly's President and CEO John Maguire told 22News how the money raised by the fund raising effort will be used to benefit the children.
“This is where we help kids with disabilities by raising money in our restaurants by providing them with the opportunity to go to summer camp,” said Maguire.
“Last year the first time I went to camp I was nervous I didn't think I was going to make any friends. But it turns out I made a friend,” said Ana Asher of Florence who attended the summer camp.
Now through February 13th, each Friendly's customer who makes a one dollar donation to Easter Seals Camp Friendly's will receive a Kids' Valentine's Day card redeemable for five free kid ice cream cones and a coupon for a buy-one-get-one-free adult entree at Friendly's.
