Armed robbery in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Holyoke Police are trying to track down the gunman who held up a Dairy Mart convenience store this afternoon.

Holyoke Police Lt. David Fournier told 22News, "The thief pointed a gun at the clerk and forced the man to give him the money in the cash register".

Lt. Fournier said within a few minutes officers found what they believe to be the thieves intended getaway car on nearby Franklin Street.

22News is following fresh developments in this latest of what's been a series of armed robberies in the Springfield area these past few weeks.
