NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - For the past three days, Northampton's Paradise City Arts Festival attracted thousands of out of towners, as it does every year.

Whether buying or just browsing, visitors to this 18th annual art show came away praising the work of the hundreds of artists responsible for this year's exhibit.

A Vermont couple said the experience has been wonderful.

L.J. Stewert says, “Any question we had coming in, since we're unfamiliar with the area, didn't know where anything was, even the nearest porta-potty, everyone was really helpful.”

Northampton area hotels and restaurants also do well during this Columbus Day weekend art show.

Organizers had set their sights on 15 thousand visitors.
