SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Bank of America is planning on closing one of its western Massachusetts branches, and eliminating a drive-up window at another.

The bank, one of the country’s largest, announced that it will close its branch on Main Street in Springfield’s North End, as well as the drive-up window at the branch on Main Street in Westfield.

Bank of America says it’s closing 750 branches and will eliminate 30,000 jobs over the next few years.

The change is making some customers question the stability of their bank.

"You think in your mind, what’s going to happen next? Everything is closing, everything is shutting down, what do you expect for the future?" Rosa Romero of Springfield said.

In addition to the local closings, BofA plans to close branches at Center Plaza in Boston, Court Street in Plymouth, and Chace Road in Freetown.
