Big E West Nile Virus threat

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA (WWLP) - The West Nile Virus threat in West Springfield is high.

22News asked if fair goers at the Big E are taking the threat seriously.

James Stuart told 22News "A little bit you know at night time I definitely take precaution. I wear jeans at night time and think twice before I go outdoors."

Melissa Miranda told 22News "West Nile virus is now this big deal. If you really concerned put some bug spray on."

Shawn Foley told 22News "You got bugs out here, you got animals out here. I definitely think it can happen. Bug spray, that's all you can do."

The Big E will continue through the rest of the month.
