WALES, Mass. (WWLP) - The Wales Board of Health has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the residents of the Brookside Village retirement community.

The board issued the order after a resident was diagnosed with an e.coli infection. Another person in the same household has also become ill and is being tested for e.coli.

Health Officials are advising residents bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute for drinking, brushing teeth, preparing food and baby formula, making ice, and providing water for pets.

Health officials expect test results back in two to three days.

Residents will be notified when the advisory is lifted.
