SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) - Republican Nick Boldyga has defeated Democrat Sam DiSanti in the race to represent the 3rd Hampden District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
With 100% of precincts reporting, Boldyga received 11,672 votes, or 61% to DiSanti's 7,448 votes, or 39%.
Boldyga is a first-term legislator and a former selectman from Southwick. In 2010, he defeated incumbent State Rep. Rosemary Sandlin (D-Agawam) in a three-way race.
DiSanti is a retired postal worker from Agawam.
The 3rd Hampden District includes all of the towns of Agawam, Southwick, and Granville.
