SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - New England's brightest night lights will come alive Wednesday in Forest Park.
Kids of all ages can enjoy Bright Nights. It's an annual event that dazzles the eye and puts people in the holiday spirit.
This is the 18th year of Bright Nights.
At 5:00PM, Lt. Gov. Tim Murray will join Mayor Domenic Sarno in flipping the switch that turns on the bulbs. This year, they're using new LED bulbs.
You'll also see some new lighting displays.
It's about a two and a half mile ride through Forest Park, but you can stop and see Santa, check out the gift shop, get a cup of hot chocolate or take a horse-drawn carriage ride.
It's $18 a car Mon-Thurs and $21 a car on Friday, Saturday and Holidays.
Bright Nights is open until 9pm Sun-Thurs and from 5-11pm Fri, Sat & holidays
On Wednesday for opening night, admission is just $6.
