GREECE, NY (WWLP) - As soon as the YouTube video went viral, donations, sympathy letters and flowers poured in. And now, a few apology letters have started to come in as well.

Karen Klein, the 68 year old bus monitor who was cruelly taunted by a group of middle school students in New York, has received letters of apology.

The viral video shows Klein trying to ignore the stream of profanity, insults and threats.

She said, she doesn't want to see any of the students right now, but she did share the apology letters on camera.

"I really feel bad about what I did. I wish I had never done those things. If that had happened to someone in my family, like my mother or grandmother, I would be really mad at the people who did this to them,” excerpt from apology letter to Karen Klein.

"I am the mother of one of the boys that bullied you and mistreated you on the bus. I woke up Wednesday morning to find out about the video and multiple phone calls. I was shocked and disgusted when I saw it. It made me cry to see how cruel my son and the other boys were being to you,” excerpt from apology letter to Karen Klein.

A fund drive set up to send Klein on a vacation has raised more than 520,000 dollars with donations from more than 24,000 people.
