SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Hundreds of people from across Western Massachusetts gathered for the annual Business Expo at the Mass Mutual Center Thursday.
Small businesses at the event said they hope the focus remains on them after the election is over.
“I think it's great that the spotlight is on small business owners. I just hope the focus doesn't shift away from small business owners after…that tends to happen after elections, but I'm hopeful it won't,” Tim Busa the marketing manager for Constant Contact.
“Regardless of who gets in there it is always change with a new President so your uncertain what the change is going to be and what it's going to bring to a business, whether there's a difference in laws or economy. It all affects you as a business owner so it always concerns you,” said David Condon the COO, of Northeast Security Solutions.
There were also several educational seminars this year including a presentation by the general manager of Vibram Five Fingers Footwear that allows people to feel like they are running barefoot.
