CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Getting in the car this weekend? You won't be the only one.

AAA Travel projects more than 28 million Americans are going to drive 50 miles or more this holiday weekend.

22News is working for you with the best times to hit the road this weekend. We asked a highway driving expert; a truck driver.

According to Chuck Mosher of Blandford, “Late nights, early mornings are your best for the busy weekend coming up.”

About 3 percent more drivers will be on the road this weekend compared to last Labor Day weekend; even though gas prices are up about 20 cents from this time a year ago.
