SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - 23 year-old Drake Hubbard, of Springfield, is in police custody on several charges, after crashing his car Tuesday morning during a police chase in the city.
Capt. Cheryl Claprood told 22news that police were trying to pull Hubbard over for traffic violations around 2:00am.
However, Hubbard would not stop for them.
He ended up turning into the Wal-Mart parking lot off Boston Road, and flipped his car.
A passenger in Hubbard's car was taken to Baystate Medical Center, but is expected to be okay.
As for Hubbard, he was unharmed. Police say he even crawled back into his car and lit a cigar.
