SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Five people were injured when their car crashed into a house in Springfield.
Springfield Police Captain Cheryl Clapprood told 22News that the car crashed into a home at 344 White Street just after 10:30 P.M. Saturday night, trapping the five people inside the car.
Springfield Firefighters had to use two sets of the jaws of life to free the victims from the VW Jetta that was wedged under the corner of the front porch.
All five victims were taken to Baystate Medical Center, and are expected to recover from their injuries.
The vehicle cannot be removed at this time due to stability issues concerning the home.
