SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Less than 24-hours after 22News gave you reports on cars being vandalized in East Longmeadow on Monday--it happened again.

Sgt. Daniel Bruno told 22News that two more cars were vandalized just before midnight Tuesday, on Elm Street. This now adds to the 20 plus cars already affected since last week; and for Jim Reyor, this is the second time he's having to deal with this.

"This happened last week and I came out this morning and I found it again. Now we have to call our insurance company all over again and hope for the best. It's aggravating...very aggravating", Reyor said.

But these acts of vandalism are not just limited to one community. On Tuesday morning, some residents in Springfield woke up to find some of the windows of their cars completely smashed.

This includes several cars in the Kimberly Ave. neighborhood, and one on Burton Street.

"I heard a couple cars got hit right down the street....and East Longmeadow I saw on the news; and we got hit today. My dad woke up this morning to go to work and saw that his car got shot with a BB gun", Janette Rivera told 22News.

Sapphire Hazel has lived in the neighborhood her whole life, and she says it has started to take a turn for the worst.

"Our neighborhood never used to be like this and now, all these things are happening. I think we all need to work together and do something like we used to. Nobody works together anymore", said Hazel.

Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney told 22News that no arrests have been, made but they are following leads right now. He also said these recent reports of vandalism from Tuesday, and last week in Sixteen Acres, are believed to be related to those in East Longmeadow.

Police are advising neighbors to report any suspicious activity they see.
