CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Chicopee officially celebrated the inauguration of city officials Friday night.

The event at the Knights of Columbus on Memorial Drive celebrated all elected officials.

Mayor Michael Bissonnette told 22News that Chicopee is ahead of many other cities in the state when it comes to development, thanks largely to the amount of stimulus funding it received, but there are challenging times ahead. "We're off to a good start this year, we've got a big agenda a lot of important projects that we are going to continue to move forward on with federal and state money getting scarce so we've got to go out and find the resources to continue the progress here in Chicopee."

This is Mayor Bissonnette's third term.
