CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - A retirement party was held for Stanley Walczak Saturday night.
He's been the city's Park Superintendent for the past 35 years.
The party was held at the Portugese American Club on Exchange Street.
He told 22News what he'll miss most about the job.
“Being able to develop parks and new recreation programs. And just being part of the fabric of the city of Chicopee, I think that's the most rewarding part of the job,” Walczak said.
Walczak told 22News he plans to travel more and fine tune his golf game now that he's retired.
