FEEDING HILLS, Mass. (WWLP) - These chilly nights have had minimal impact on our local crops.
Michael Cecchi of Cecchi Farms in Feeding Hills told 22News their summer harvest of tomatoes and corn is still growing, but slowing down. While it's fall harvest, including pumpkins, butternut and winter squash is ready.
"We'll things still grow, they just grow a little slower. Mother Nature dictates that and she dictates the end when a hard frost comes, we'll harvest right up until then", says Cecchi.
Cecchi told 22News the hot items now are pumpkins, corn stalk, straw and other decorative items.
