Citizens Police Academy begins in March

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield residents have the opportunity to join forces with police to make the city safer.
  
The department is holding its 35th class of the Springfield Police Citizens Police Academy beginning next month.
  
The 10-week course covers several topics including drugs, gangs, youth services and ordinance enforcement.
 
The classes are held on Wednesday night's beginning March 6th, at the Raymond Sullivan Public Safety Complex on Carew Street.
