SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - There's still time to sign up for Springfield's 35th Citizens Police Academy.

The informal educational opportunity gives residents a chance to familiarize themselves with the city's department, including the detective bureau and special task forces.

The 10 week course begins March 6th and runs through mid-May.

The classes are held at the Public Safety complex on Carew Street on Wednesday nights from 6:00PM to 9:00PM.

For information on how you can sign up, e-mail Kathleen Brown at KBrown@springfieldpolice.net.
