Crash caused power outage in Longmeadow

Portion of Shaker Road closed

LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - About 650 people were without power in Longmeadow after an accident on Shaker Road.

Longmeadow Police Dispatch told 22News Shaker Road is closed between Woodsley Road and Hazardville Road.

Longmeadow Sgt. Andrew Fullerton told 22News a 17-year old girl drifted off Shaker Road near the
Longmeadow Country Club hitting a utility pole. It caught fire but amazingly the girl walked away unharmed.

Power has been restored, but the stretch of Shaker Road will be closed until Friday.
