SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A series of crashes that held up traffic on I-91 in Springfield during the morning commute have been cleared.

Traffic was moving freely in all lanes of I-91 by 8:30 A.M.

Massachusetts State Police Trooper Eric Fairchild reports that there were two accidents on Interstate 91 that held up traffic.

A three car accident on 91-southbound near exit 11 held up traffic as far back as Holyoke.

Meanwhile, multiple car crash on 91-northbound just past the Longmeadow Curve backed-up traffic there.
