SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - During these financially difficult times every bargain helps. The Dakin Humane Society assisted Springfield area pet owners with vaccinating and microchiping their animals on Saturday.

The Dakin humane Society's low cost monthly Springfield clinic was well attended today.

Iris Hale decided this was the right time to get her dog his shots.

“They offered a cut rate for rabies shots for my dog and I think it's a good thing. I'm unemployed making it possible,” said Hale.

The Dakin's low cost clinics will again be held on the mornings of November 3rd and again on December 1st. The law requires rabies shots for dogs and cats.
