HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Dawn Sanders of Springfield is in a second struggle for her life against breast cancer. Sunday, friends and family joined her for what Dawn called a celebration of life.

Sunday's Dawn of Hope benefit concert at the Log Cabin in Holyoke raised more than twelve thousand dollars to help this Springfield mom pay her medical bills.

This is the second time Dawn's been diagnosed with breast cancer. She told 22News, she's re-adjusted her priorities in life. “It kind of makes you; it kind of makes you pick your battles. Kind of makes you realize what’s important, what's not so important.”

Dawn Sanders has two children, 18 and 20 years old. She's hoping her life will be a long one. As she told 22News, she's put the cancer on notice that she's a fighter and she has no intention of giving up easily.
