SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Dixie Dogs have literally found a home here in the Pioneer Valley.
Dogs that stood little chance of being adopted in Montgomery County, Texas, arrived Saturday at the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society in Springfield.
The Humane Society now welcomes at least 10 to 15 Dixie Dogs twice a month, and they got they got the feel of snow for the first time.
“They really go home so quickly, they're wonderful adoptable family dogs looking for a second chance, that they wouldn't necessarily have coming from an overly populated area in the south,” said Candy Lash of the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society
The Daken staff expects to have these latest arrivals ready for adoption in a matter of days.
