SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Here's a new twist on a holiday food drive: Precision Wash and Dry Laundromat in Springfield is trading free laundry services for food.
People who bring at least one non-perishable food item to the Boston Road store will get unlimited laundry Friday and Saturday.
This is the second year the company, which has laundromats in Massachusetts and Connecticut, is offering the free wash deal.
“That's why we're doing this, to help out the people,” laundromat manager Maria Maltonato said.
Last year, Precision Wash and Dry Laundromat collected more than 1,000 pounds of food, which was donated to a local food bank
