Missing elderly woman found in Ludlow

Woman was found just after midnight

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) - An elderly woman is safe in Ludlow after a search by state and local police.

Sgt. Mike Brennan told 22News that the woman in her 70's had been missing for about 9 hours.

She told her family she was taking a walk on a trial near the Ludlow reservoir. The wooded area is right off Center Street and is known as Facing Rock.

They searched the woods with a helicopter, police dogs and officers on ATV's and on foot.

Sgt. Brennan said the cold weather was a concern.
