Elizabeth Warren visits Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Her Springfield area supporters gave Senator-elect Elizabeth Warren a warm welcome back to Springfield Saturday afternoon.

There was a huge crowd of supporters at Theodore's in downtown Springfield who had come to see and hear the woman they helped elect last month.

The Senator-elect told 22News, Western Massachusetts will not be overlooked while she's on capital hill.

“Western Mass was an important part of my decision to run for the United States senate and western mass has been when critical turning points in the campaign occurred,” Senator-Elect Warren said.

Her Springfield visit was one of several on Saturday as the Senator-elect criss-crossed the commonwealth thanking supporters in several cities.
