SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Former Westfield Tax Collector’s Office employee Susan Duffy will be sentenced in March, after admitting to sufficient facts in a case involving the theft of city funds.

Duffy appeared in federal court in Springfield on Tuesday to answer to the charges of theft concerning a federally-funded program, and filing a false tax return.

A complaint filed against her charged that she embezzled $110,000 from the city. She had been fired in 2011 when this was discovered.

Duffy will face sentencing on March 27.
