CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - If you live near Westover Air Reserve Base, do not be surprised if you hear some loud booms over the weekend.

The 439th Airlift Wing’s explosive ordnance disposal team will be conducting a series of controlled detonations between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday.

These controlled detonations are part of the team’s training requirements.
