WESTFIELD, Mass (WWLP) - The 104th Fighter Wing at the Massachusetts National Guard in Westfield will be taking part in an Alert Force exercise.

F-15 Fighter jets will take part in the exercise, which is scheduled for June 1st from 10:00am to Midnight over Provincetown, Nantucket, Hyannis, and Martha's Vineyard.

The F-15 fighter jets will be training with the Civil Air Patrol.

The exercise is to help training for alert pilots on intercept procedures, which is to ensure the Massachusetts Air National Guard is prepared to defend the Northeast airspace against any airborne threat.
