SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The forest of Christmas trees is back in Springfield.
The annual festival of trees kicked off today inside Tower Square.
Young and old viewed more than 100 one of a kind holiday trees.
Visitors can try their luck by entering their name into raffles.
Each tree and prizes will be raffled off at the end of the festival.
For those who have never been before say they will be making this a new holiday tradition.
“I just like all the trees, they're all great,” Gaila Jones told 22news. “Just getting in the spirit of Christmas, it's been a harrowing year for a lot of people, but we want to make sure we show the kids the spirit of Christmas and get out and see the city and enjoy it.”
The Springfield Boys and Girls Club Festival of Trees will run through December 11th.
