WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Incumbent State Rep. Mike Finn will receive two more years in the Legislature, after defeating political newcomer Lincoln Blackie.

With 100% of the precincts reporting, Finn received 9,446 votes, or 64% to Blackie's 5,389 or 36%.

Finn, a West Springfield Democrat, was elected to the Legislature in 2010; replacing now State Sen. James Welch.

Blackie was one of a handful of independent candidates running in races across western Massachusetts.

The 6th Hampden District includes all of West Springfield, and parts of Chicopee and the Liberty Heights section of Springfield.
