HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - The McDonald's on Maple Street in Holyoke is closed after a fire that started early Saturday morning.

Lt. Tom Paquin told 22News the fire started in the kitchen and spread to the roof around 7:40.

Paquin said employees were inside when the building was evacuated.

Holes were punctured into the roof to be able to put the fire out.

No one was injured and the McDonald's there will be closed until further notice.
