Springfield home heavily damaged by fire

Fire started on 2nd floor of Wait St. home

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Fire heavily damaged  a home in Springfield's Liberty Heights neighborhood.

Firefighters were called to 18-20 Wait Street just before 10 o'clock Tuesday night.

Aide to the Springfield Fire Commissioner Dennis Leger told 22News the fire started on the second floor but they have not yet determined a cause.

The people who live in the three-family home will be unable to go back inside for the time being.

No injuries have been reported.
