SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Football fans packed the local bars for a night of entertainment.

22News went to Samuel's Sports Bar in Springfield where the crowd was made up of mostly disappointed Patriots fans who thought the Ravens deserved to take home the Lombardi trophy.

Some were there with family and friends; others were celebrating alone with drinks and good food.

People told 22News that since the Patriots weren't playing, it was a little more low-key.

49ers fan Eric Sandberg said, “I'm a little bummed out but I think it'll make for a less stressful day.”

“I just don't like the 49ers very much,” said Justin Guertin. “I just don't like their etiquette on and off the field.”

Felicia Scott said, “I really want Ray Lewis to win the Super Bowl with his last year playing and I think the 49ers play rough. They're mean.”

People told 22News it doesn't matter who's in the Super Bowl, it's about the football experience.
