Former E. Longmeadow selectman arrested

Villamaino due in court on Wednesday

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Former East Longmeadow selectman Jack Villamaino was arrested Tuesday in Boston.

East Longmeadow police Sgt. Steve Manning told 22News, Villamaino was arrested in Boston on charges of unlawful absentee vote or voter fraud. 

East Longmeadow police along with State Police made the arrest.  Villamaino is being held in East Longmeadow jail Tuesday night.    He'll be arraigned in Superior Court Wednesday.  Villamaino, who was running for state representative when he was accused of switching the party affiliation of registered voters in East Longmeadow. 

Villamaino's alleged accomplice, Courtney Llewellyn was arraigned Tuesday on the same charges.
