Friday, the outpouring of support continued for Westfield's fallen officer.

Outside the police station, flowers, a lit candle, a ballon and a sign that read "God bless Officer Torres thank you for all you gave to Westfield."  Officer Torres served 27 years in the Westfield police department."

"We feel really sorry for his family and the community, I've met him quite a few times when I was working as a sales person", says Blanford's Donna Gaj.

Officer Torres seemed to leave a good impression with everyone he met.

"He was always smiling and very positive", says Gaj.

An OSHA representative told 22News the accident investigation could take up to six months before they come to any conclusion.
