CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Triple A of the Pioneer Valley is preparing for an increase in calls during the upcoming storm.

They are increasing staff at their emergency call center but they say that because of the severity of the storm there may be delays.

James Kashmanian, AAA Fleet Solutions Manger told 22News, "First and most important thing that people need to do is if you don't have to be on the road, stay off the road unless it's that necessary trip we advise peolple please stay home."

Here's a look at the things AAA recommends you have in your car:

  • A shovel
  • Snow brush
  • Something for traction like a car mat, kitty litter or sand
  • An emergency road kit
  • A blanket
  • A full tank of gas and windshield washer fluid.
