CHICOPEE, Mass (WWLP) - If you want to learn how to become licensed to teach in Massachusetts...the next information session will be held on April 1 from 4:00-5:00pm.

These sessions are held on the First Friday of each month at the Collaborative for Educational Services, located at 97 Hawley Street in Northampton MA.

‘First Friday’ drop-in sessions are designed to answer questions about educator licensure and assist prospective educators in mapping a path to attaining career goals.

In Western Massachusetts, the Collaborative offers Educator Licensure courses year round in Northampton, Holyoke and online; Master’s Degree and CAGS options are available. Licensure programs are offered in many high need program areas, such as Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities, English as a Second Language, Middle and High School Math and Sciences.

Penny Rhodes from the Collaborative for Educational Services says "In our program you can complete a license in 12 to 18 months."

For more information, visit www.TeachInMass.org or call 413-586-4900.
